BIGGEST TRAVELLERS’ HUB IN KYIV’S CENTRE MARKS ITS BIRTHDAY

Today we celebrate the first anniversary of Globe Runner Hotel & Hostel. Just a year ago, on 1 February 2020, our travellers’ hub opened its doors to welcome all those wishing to explore Ukraine’s capital.

It is an important milestone for us, indeed, since 2020 was a turbulent year for all businesses, especially for the tourism industry.

Our newly launched property, nevertheless, bravely faced all the challenges and wrapped up the year with impressive performance results. We won international awards, took part in social projects and arranged some exciting events for guests.

Our achievements throughout 2020 include:
-Garnering the Traveller Review Award and getting a superb mark – 9.2 out of 10 possible – on Booking.com
-Scoring 10 out of 10 on Hotels.com
-Taking home the SafeTravels stamp as the winner of the national SafeTravels Contest
-Winning the national CP Award as the best -Commercial Real Estate Project
-Collaborating and supporting DJ Omlet’s street music performance
-Taking part in the famous quest project ‘Shukai!’ (Go Seek!)
-Accommodating doctors and medical staff in spring 2020
-Opening GR Cafe by Cargo Kitchen that serves food and drinks from around the world

However, the pandemic put our brand-new project to a more serious test and we had to grow up very quickly to withstand its impact. Therefore, we are proud of achievements that became possible owing to the combined effort of our gorgeous team. We love what we do and keep the faith in a brighter future.

We had a spacious dormitory room, which has lots of character due to its historical style with a beautiful ceiling and an old heating stove, but with big modern beds and two lockers for large luggage and smaller stuff. Free Wi-Fi was working everywhere. There is a large shared kitchen near the lobby. Nice and young staff all speak good English and willing to help”.
